| Born 1925, Leningrad. Nikolaiev is a member of the Leningrad Academy and Institute Repine. Several catalogues of his work have been published. He is a member of the Art Union of St Petersburg. In 1978 he was the outstanding success at the Exhibition of Russian Artists held in Tokyo.
